Jaboticabal City
Located in the northeastern region of the State, 350 kilometers
from São Paulo, and 60 km from Araraquara and Ribeirão
Preto; Jaboticabal has a population of 67,389 inhabitants.
It has an area of 707 km² and a medium temperature around
22º C. It gets its name from the "jaboticabeiras"
(a fruit tree), which were abundant in the past, but now are
scarce. The city has the largest industry of fabrication of
ceramic filters of the country and also has an exportation
pasta industry. In agriculture, the peanut is the main product.
